The international conference on “Modern Materials Science: Achievements and Problems”

The international conference on “Modern Materials Science: Achievements and Problems” was held at the National Academy of Sciences in Kiev on the 26th September 2005. The event was in honor of the 100th Birthday of the prominent Ukrainian scientist, Ivan Frantsevich.

The conference was jointly organized by the STCU, Ministry of Education & Science of Ukraine, the NASU, Kiev State Administration, European Office of Airspace Research and Development, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, United States Air Force Research Laboratory and European Programme INTAS.

The conference focused on nano-materials, their theories and problems. The STCU was represented in the Organizing Committee by Esa Manninen, Deputy Executive Director (EU) and Senior Specialists, Natalia Mykhaylovska and Natalia Dudko.
