AMERICANA-2007

On 18–25 March 2007 a team of 6 scientists from Dnipropetrovsk, Dniprodzerzhynsk and Kyiv lead by STCU Senior Specialist participated in AMERICANA-2007 - the 7th International Environmental Technology Trade Show and Conference in Montreal, Canada.

The conference program's objectives were to promote and share knowledge, techniques, solutions and technologies enabling the participants to better the global situation of the environment industry. Speakers came from business, industry, public and institutional organizations, engineering and consulting firms and universities. They presented studies, projects, technological solutions and real-life examples that had obtained tangible results.

The program included environmental industry business opportunities abroad and in the Canadian market. Over 400 exhibitors participated in Technology Trade Show in the following areas: water, contaminated soils, solid waste, air and climate changes,

environment services, government services, etc.

The members of Ukrainian delegation highly estimated the results of the mission. It gave Ukrainian scientists a good chance to establish contacts and have discussions with interested experts. A number of personal meetings with pre-selected experts were also aranged in purpose to find joint interest and possible collaboration. Ukrainian scientists have established useful contacts for possible future partnership relations.



This forum also presented a good chance to disseminate among the forum participants and business circles the information on Ukrainian capabilities in development and application of environmental-related technologies.
