Practical Steps Required

Practical steps required of the parties involved in the research partnership process

  • Negotiates the scope of work with the Recipient
 
  • Negotiates the scope of work with the Partner
  • Applies for Partner Status(nomination is completed in 30 days)
  • Specifies the scope of work to be performed by the Recipient
  • Review the Partner Proposal prepared by the Project Manager on the basis of an agreed scope of work
  • Advices Partner and Recipient on Practical Steps Required - points of contact: Partnership Managers
  • Sends STCU notification on the Application for Partner Status to the STCU Funding Parties
  • Reviews/registers Partner Proposal prepared by Project Manager on the basis of the scope of work agreed to between the Partner and Recipient
  • Upon receiving Host Governmental Concurrence (HGC) sends the Partner Proposal to the STCU Funding Parties for activity approval (approval is completed within 40 days)
  • Prepare a Partner Proposal on the basis of the scope of work agreed to with Partner
  • E-mails the Partner Proposal to the STCU Partnership Managers for registration
  • Upon receiving the registration number, submits the Partner Proposal for Host Governmental Concurrence(HGC). To apply for HGC please in Ukraine: contact the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine (tel.: +380 44 246 3889); in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Uzbekistan: contact STCU Regional Offices for assistance
  • Finally reviews and accepts the electronic version of the Partner Project Agreement(If requested by the Partner or Recipient, a (signed) scanned or faxed copy is acceptable in order to meet the planned Operative Commencement Date; the signed original will follow)
  • Signes the final hard copy
  • Transfers project funding as stipulated by Partner Project Agreement to the STCU's bank account
  • Reviews and makes comments on the electronic first draft of the Partner Project Agreement prepared by Project Manager
  • Advices the Project Manager if corrections are required to the first draft
  • E-mails the second draft of the Partner Project Agreement to the Partner for final review and acceptance
  • Ensures consistency between the final hard copy and the electronically approved version, and coordinates circulation of the signed originals
  • Prepares the first draft of the Partner Project Agreement and, if necessary, prepares a second draft on the basis of corrections received following the STCU's interim and the Partner's final reviews
