Joint Statement from the 35th Meeting of the STCU Governing Board

The thirty fifth Meeting of the Governing Board of the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine convened at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in Kyiv with Delegates from all its Funding Parties and Recipient Countries. The Board approved 160,572 USD and 1,216 million EUR in science Research Projects, plus additional 6.8 million USD, and 261,551 EUR in Partner Projects. The 2013 Administrative Operating Budget was endorsed as presented as well as the revised Organization Chart. One pilot Joint Security Training Workshop will take place in 2013 and shall involve Experts from Ukraine and CIS Countries in addition to participants from third countries. A large Seminar is planned in Kyiv on “STCU Expertise in Scientists Redirection. STCU will also be soon participating in four Consortia leading actions under projects funded by the European Commission under its CBRN Centres of Excellence Initiative. STCU will be actively preparing its 2013 twentieth Anniversary of the signature of its Founding Agreement. The current project in favor of Ministry of Health’s Ukraine Antiplague Station in Simferopol is progreesing with now phase one completed. The current facility being now compliant with the recommendations for bio-security. This Four (4) million EUR assitance is scheduled to now launch first stage of concept design toward a brand new construction.
