STCU “PREPARING FOR HANNOVER” TRAINING COURSE

The STCU organised two training sessions for the participants of Hannover Messe 2007. Each session lasted 2 days and was aimed at equipping scientific professionals with the skills necessary to present, network and negotiate in Hannover.
27 scientists from Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk participated in the training. They learnt and practiced how to prepare for a presentation given the audience background, available technical equipment and a room layout, to understand and use phases for socializing, to understand and manipulate the climate of a networking event, to use negotiation techniques to their best advantage, etc.
The training course was developed by Business Link trainers especially for the STCU delegation for Hannover with understanding of complex, demanding and rapidly changing business climate for scientists. The trainers carefully worked with each presentation and provided opportunities to each individual to practice the acquired skills.
Participants of the training received the most detailed hand-outs which will help them to effectively prepare themselves not only for Hannover Messe 2007 but for other future events as well.
Four days of the course also allowed scientists to exchange ideas, to expand knowledge and approaches for successful participation in the upcoming exhibition.
