STCU meets with the representatives of Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP).

STCU DED EU Michel Zayet invited two Representatives from the Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP) to visit Kiev Polytechnic Institute, to discuss possibilities for the future collaboration in the framework of the Technology Transfer Brokerage course. On December 3-4, 2012, Mr. Jeffrey Blair, ASTP Business Development & Strategy Manager, and Mr. Jeff Skinner, Executive Director of ASTP Professional Development Committee, visited Dr. Inna Malyukova and met also KPI Rector, Professor Mikhail Zgurovsky.
Their visit included a roundtable discussion on possible ways of mutually beneficial cooperation and a presentation of ASTP training & certification system, and a second presentation of ASTP to representatives of Ukrainian universities, research institutions, enterprises etc. A strong emphasis was placed on the benefits for individuals to become ASTP members, on the opportunities for professional development in Tech Transfer and on the international certification as a Recognized Tech Transfer Professional.
The meeting with Mr. Jeffry Blair attracted high interest. About 40 representatives of Ukrainian universities, research institutions, enterprises joined. Among them were represented:
