The 14th Regional Office Managers Meeting

On 25 April, 2013 headed by Senior Deputy Executive Director Mr. Lytvynov Igor, STCU held the 14th Regional Office Managers Meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia. During the Meeting STCU Regional Fields Managers from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine provides annual activities reports and financial aspects of 2012.
As part of the Meeting main achievements and success stories were discussed by the participants. Annual reports from all STCU speakers noted that one of significant achievement in 2012 was the expansion of the "Targeted research and development initiatives" funded jointly by the STCU and the Precipitance Countries.
Another achievement in 2012 were targeted efforts to attract additional funding in frame of STCU Partner Program with the private sector. Overall in the 2012 saw the largest funding of Partner Projects, comparing to other years, namely more than 11.5. M. USA.
In general STCU Regional Managers expressed a desire of local scientists to expand STCU Technology Transfer Brokerage Program which was launched on December 2011.
During the work visit in Tbilisi Mr. Lytvynov I. held bilateral meeting with the First Deputy Defense Minister of Georgia Mr. Levan Dolidze on 26 April, 2013.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations in various fields of cooperation, and issue related with further placement of STCU field office in Georgia. Mr. Dolidze noted the importance of further collaboration with STCU and expressed his support for SCTU activities in Georgia in future.
